THE SEXIEST MAN ALIVE--Matthew McConaughey

This week in the 20th Anniversary Celebration of People, Matthew McConaughey gets crowned as the "Sexiest Man Alive." I personally have always loved Matthew and thought he is such a good actor, as well as good looking man. One of my favorite movies that he starred in was "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days." He was so funny and charming in that movie. Now besides my personal feelings, let's get into what Matthew told People in this issue. Let me start off by saying that not only is McConaughey charming and talented, but he can speak fluent in Spanish. Now I know all girls love a man that can speak more than one language, I mean we all know it is attractive. In addition, he has been dating Penélope Cruz for the past year and seems to be very happy with her. McConaughey also works out all the time and he says "I don't feel like my head works right," if he does not get the chance to exercise. I am sure we all know that he works out by the looks of his body, what a lucky girl Cruz is. Moving on, not only does Matthew have all these traits above, but he also cooks. He seems to have done everything right so far for being a man. He told People that "I like to cook. I make a real good pasta with red sauce. All my plates are oversized. I'll put cold salad on the bottom and put hot pasta over it. Corn will be in the marinara. Usually just a spaghetti. Garlic, that's the first thing, and then bring down the yellow onions and fresh tomatoes, and just a shot of Prego out of the bottle helps with the viscosity. It's very important, you want it to stick to the noodle. And then Italian sausage." What more could you ask for from Matthew McConaughey, he is a man that has it all. Another thing I want to talk about in People this issue is Nicole Kidman. The question going around is "Are Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban engaged?" Well it seems that Nicole was spotted wearing a ring on her finger on November 11th while walking with Keith. However, Keith Urbans rep, Paul Freundlich, told People that, "Right now it's just a rumor. When and if there's a statement we'll make that public." All celebrities tend to say that comment if they are trying to keep something secret, so I guess we will not know until the couple tells the public if or if not they are engaged. I do not think the couple is engaged yet, but they are inseparable so maybe they will become engaged sometime shortly.
One last thing I want to say about Nicole Kidman is that she wishes Tom and Katie 'happiness' for their relationship and soon to be baby. It is always nice to hear that an ex wife is happy for her ex husband and soon to be new family.

Kenny Chesney Speaks Out

This week in People Kenny Chesney is on the cover page and ready to talk about his break up from Renée Zellweger in an emotional interview. I am not sure if you guys are really familiar with Kenny, aside from being Renée's ex-husband, but I really did not know anything about him until he met Renée Zellweger. Then after he started appearing in many People Magazine issues with his marriage to Renée is when I started to acknowledge him and realize he is a country singer and a good looking and very fit man. Now I feel as though after his breakup he needs to find himself again away from Renée and let the world know his side of the story.

Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney were only married for four months before calling it quits. They seemed to have had a happy marriage that I guess did not end up being as happy as it looked. Kenny was very hurt about the break up and said "I'm sad, I'm angry, and I'm hurt and confused. This is not what I envisioned my life to be six months ago," in which he told to People Magazine. In addition, not only was he upset about his break up but the media was also making false statements about him and Renée. Kenny said, about the press, that "they've done nothing short of calling me gay and her a whore. None of those things are true. I'm pretty firm in my sexuality and my love for women." Poor Kenny. However, Kenny said that him and Renée still care about one another and they have gotten together even after their breakup. I think Kenny is a good looking guy with a good career and he will be strong through this tough time.

Another issue in People I want to fill you guys in on is about Tyra Banks modeling in a fat suit for her show, "The Tyra Banks Show." She went undercover as a 350 pound woman for the main purpose of seeing how obese people are treated by other individuals. She said that this was "one of the most heartbreaking days of my life." The reactions she got from other people were horrible and Tyra was very upset by this turn out, as I am sure many would be. So many people take advantage of their lives and they do not even think of those out there that are in this obese condition. Ellen Tells All!

I want to start off by asking if you guys watch the Ellen DeGeneres Show. If you do, what do you think about it? I personally think Ellen is hilarious and I love the fact that she does not care what people think of her. She is the way she is and is very happy with life and happy with her girlfriend of nearly one year, actress Portia de Rossi. She has said of Rossi that “It’s the first time that I’ve known in every cell of my being that I’m with somebody for the rest of my life.” In addition to her happiness with her girlfriend, her show is amazing and has earned nine Daytime Emmy Awards. Ellen seems to have it all right now. However, when starting her show business she was unsure of how things would turn out. Many asked Ellen why she was going to do a talk show and that everyone fails but Ellen said "You have to do things that it doesn’t matter how many people failed. You have to take chances.” I feel as Ellen is a very strong person and is where she is today because of how strong she actually is. I hope she continues her success and her relationship with Rossi grows more and more. Wait to go Ellen!


Also this week in People, Jennifer Aniston takes on Manhattan to promote her new movie, Derailed. She was seen out at the hot-spots, dining with friends and just out on the town. In addition, she attended a Halloween party with costar Clive Owens at Nobu 57. In addition to news on Jennifer Aniston, she will be on Larry King Live on November 8th so be sure to watch it. However, Aniston deflected questions on the show that had to do with her relationship with Vince Vaughn but we all know that they are an item. Just a quick peak at the show, King asked "Is it serious?" about the romance, but couldn't get much from Aniston "I'm not talking about it," she said. So I guess we will have to watch and see Larry King to see if she says anything about her relationship.

Body After Baby!

What is with all these celebrities having babies and losing the weight right away? This is the cover story of People Magazine this week. Beginning with Denise Richards, who, in my opinion, is absolutely beautiful, lost all of her baby weight and looks better than ever. When she was pregnant with her daughter, Lola, she gained 30 pounds. That is a lot of weight, but normal for a pregnant mom to be. She recently told People that she had a secret weapon to losing weight: “It’s called the Stress Diet,” but she was only semi serious. In addition, she really explained that the reason she was able to get back down to her weight and look phenomenal again was because of her trainer, Garrett Warren, who had her doing kickboxing and abdominal exercises that she did 4-6 times per week. She also controlled her diet by eating healthy. I think Denise looks great, and has worked very hard to get back in shape. It is not easy to do after having been pregnant but if you want to lose baby weight, you need to make a few sacrifices.

Another celebrity mom who is dealing with the same issue of baby fat is Britney Spears. In June, Spears told People, “Having a child inspired her." Spears is also getting back into shape and is looking awesome already, after having Sean Preston on September 14. Another celebrity I want to point out that also looks amazing is Christine Taylor. She said she spent a lot of time running after she had her baby, Ella, who is now three years old, and she also looks wonderful.

I have seen so many celebrities, in pictures, after having children, and I feel that most of them got back into shape right away. I think it is something within the celebrity world, where everyone wants to be thin and healthy. After having a baby, no one wants to keep the weight on and if you have the money, it is a lot easier. You can pay to get the best trainer and even have meals made for you and delivered to your home, as many celebrities do.

Jennifer and Vince?

This week in People, everyone seems to be wondering if it is true that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn are together. Well guess what, the rumors are true and the pictures show all. Jennifer and Vince were filming The Break Up this summer in Chicago and many wondered whether or not the romance was not just on the set but as well as off. Well, Jen seems to be over Brad and very happy with Vince. Aniston used to tell people that her and Vince were just friends, even when people saw them together and dancing and flirting, but I guess not anymore. In addition, Aniston told Elle this month about Vince that "He's delicious and funny . . . but I don't want to be a rebound girl." However, this did not seem to be the truth. All of Chicago saw them out together, cuddling, kissing and much more so the truth is out to the public now. Also, both stars reps used to deny that the two were a couple, now both reps do not comment on their new romance. On October 14th, the couple strolled in Lake Forest, Ill., "they were very comfortable with each other," says an onlooker. Furthermore, Illinois is Vince's hometown, which means that Vince brought Jennifer home to meet the parents. The new couple went out to lunch with Vaughn's mother, Sharon, and stepdad. Many are very shocked at this new romance and Vaughn's friend and Swingers costar Jon Favreau said "Vince and her? Really? I see them as very different types of people, with different interests." Well, believe it or not but JENNIFER AND VINCE ARE A COUPLE. What do you guys think of this new couple?

One more thing I want to say, and I am sure most of you are wondering, what is going on with Jessica and Nick. Well, as of recently, Nick has said that "Everythings Perfect", about his marriage with Jessica. When Nick Lachey hit the red carpet with his younger brother, Drew, Drew said "For the record, we're not talking about Nick and Jessica." However, that did not last long. Nick told PEOPLE about the couple's recent getaway in advance of their third wedding anniversary on Oct. 26. "We just came back from Italy. We decided to celebrate a little early and do the romantic Florence wine-tasting thing," he said. In fact, "everything's perfect," he said. So I guess the couple is happy for right now but maybe not for long. There is so much talk about their relationship that if they are really having problems, I do not think the media would be the first ones to know. That is the key with Hollywood couples, to keep to themselves, unless they are really going to break up.

ALL ABOUT THE BABY! Plus Foxy Brown's upsetting news!

Yes it is true, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are having a child, and they are happy as ever. On October 5th, the couple announced that they were expecting. "Tom and Katie are very excited, and the entire family is very excited," said Cruise's sister. Many are also asking when did Katie get pregnant. Well, no one is really sure, but her bump indicates that she is in her second trimester, but who knows when she will be due. Many of you may also wonder, what does Chris Klein think about this, Katie’s ex-fiancée. Well, Chris did not seem to be too happy with the news. He said that, "The fantasy was over and reality set in. We weren't lighting each other's fire anymore." Chris Klein also told People that he and Katie no longer speak to one another. I guess everyone can not be happy for their ex's, but some are. Poor Chris, but Katie seems happier than she has ever been in her whole life. Cruise's costar, Greg Grunberg says that "They are so in love it’s crazy." "They are always together." Well, Good for Katie and Tom. I did not really like them as a couple at first and still am unsure, but I feel that they are so happy together, so how can you not be happy for them.

Now I am sure many of you wonder what is going on with Jessica and Nick. Us Weekly had a picture of them on the cover that read "SPLIT", as well as many other magazines said they may have split. However, JESSICA AND NICK HAVE NOT BROKEN UP!! They have been seen without their wedding bands a few times but they were seen together at the airport on October 7th, and they looked happy. They are trying to fight off the rumors of them separating.

One last thing I want to talk about is how Foxy Brown has gone deaf. I was in shock when I heard the news. She has been deaf for four months now and it is not easy for her. On May 23rd, Foxy Brown remembered going to sleep the night before, with her T.V. blasting and waking up the next morning with no sound coming from the T.V. Foxy said, "I pressed the volume to about 60. Nothing." "I ran outside to my truck and honked the horn. Nothing. I ran back inside and dialed a number on the phone. Nothing. Then I started breaking down in tears and screaming and I couldn't even hear myself scream. That's when I knew there was a problem." I was so upset when I read this part in the magazine and almost cried myself for her. She has also said that, "I'm on a personal journey. I believe God wants to be the only voice I hear right now." It is a very hard time for Foxy Brown right now. You never know what will happen and Foxy had never expected this.

A Princess For Williams?

So it is back on for relationships in this edition of People. Prince Williams has found his match, Kate Middleton. They have been dating for three years now and seem happier than ever with one another. Kate is an art history major who has been in search of a job and Prince Williams will soon begin his banking internship, while also trying to tackle his exams for Sandhurst. So they are both pretty busy in their lives right now but still make time for each other and go out to the nightclubs. In addition, Kate has also met the Queen and a friend of the monarch's has said that "Kate is very nice and very unassuming. She is not in it for personal gain." I think it is very cute that they are together because she seems like a nice girl, and Prince Williams is a very important person, but it must be hard for her to be dating a Prince. There has to be very high expectations put upon her and that seems like it would be hard to uphold. They seem very close and now many wonder if Kate is the one.

Now I am sure most of you can guess what I am going to talk about next, and that is a major Break-Up that has just recently happened. Paris Hilton and Paris Latsis BREAK-UP. No more wedding plans for the two, and the engagement is off, just after only four months. Hilton used to say that Latsis was the one and that she stopped partying and being crazy for him, but I guess that is not the case anymore. Now Hilton is supposedly kissing and holding hands with another man. The man happens to be Mary-Kate Olsens ex-boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos III, who is a young greek, like Latsis, with an Olympic-size family fortune. What is it with the rich marrying the richer? Paris Hilton has so much money and she seems to be attracted to the others who have huge family fortunes as well. Hilton announced the break-up on September 30th and she says that, "I'm just having fun right now. I don't have time for a relationship." However, Latsis says that, "Right now is a very tough time for me. I love Paris very much. This was the best experience of my life."

One last thing I want to say is that Brad and Jennifer's Divorce in now FINAL! Brad is living his new life and so is Jennifer, and they both seem to be happy now in their separate lives.

THE SECRET WEDDING

So aside from all the celebrity break-ups last week, we can look at a new happy couple that decided to tie the knot, secretly. Demi and Ashton have been together for two years now and everyone knew that they were going to get married at some point, but no one knew when. They got married in their Beverly Hills home, with 100 guests by their side, of close friends and relatives. There marriage was honored by the couples Kabbalah beliefs. It was a surprise Kabbalah ceremony and not even the media knew about it until now. Now this wedding may not seem real to many of you because Demi is 42 and Ashton is 27, but People Magazine says "you are not getting punked", this is the real thing. Also, many of you may think , What does Bruce Willis think of this, well he said "I am honestly great friends with Ashton...(he) is a really great guy." I mean he seems to be happy for them and they have been together for so long so I do not think Bruce has any hard feelings. Many feel as though the couple will last a long, long time, but you never know with a celebrity couple. They seem happy now but after a little bit, who knows what will happen. At least this couple waited two years to tie the knot, where other couples wait a few months to get married. In my opinion I feel as if they will last a long time because I feel that they really know one another after the two years they have been together. What do you guys think? Will they last or not? Another happy couple that seemed to have had a fun weekend together was Angelina and Brad. They took a weekend away to Canada and rode motorcylces. Will they be next in line for a wedding? Who knows.

Now I know we talked about break-ups last week but they poped up again this week. You can never get away from a new couple breaking up. The One Tree Hill stars, Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush had recently split. They were only married for five months and they called it quits. What went wrong? Well, I do not think the media really knows but it seemed that the couple were having some trouble from rumors that were being spread and Sophia said, "All we can do is be happy and laugh about it at home." Well, I guess they did not laugh about it at home and called it quits. I really like them together and thought they were a cute couple but I guess some things just do not work out.

Renee and Kenny Split

What happened between Renee and Kenny? This seems to be the topic everywhere today and the cover of People Magazine. They just recently got married, just four months ago, and now everyone wonders what happened to this happy couple. People Magazine basically describes their relationship as being rushed and that they were still getting to know one another after they were married. A friend of the two, Tim McGraw, said that it just was not right for either one of them, however, another friend said that Kenny had no idea that Renee was about to drop "the bomb." Well, I guess this split is not really a shocker for anyone because celebrity marriages never seem to work for long periods of time, but some do. Another break-up that just occurred was between Tori Spelling and her husband of only 14 months, Charlie Shanian. A friend of Tori's said that "She loved him. But she wasn't in love with him." What is with all these break-ups? But, on the other side, there are the more happy couples and marriages. One to point out is Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, who are heading to the alter, after have been dating for a year. They seem to be very happy together and talk of having kids after they are married. I wonder how John Stamos feels about this? For those of you who do not know who John Stamos is, he is Rebecca's ex-husband, who played Uncle Jessie on Full House. In addition to happy couples, lets talk about the happy couple Britney and Kevin. I know all of you know that she had a baby boy because everyone follows up on People, and every other magazine that talks about Britney and Kevin's new baby boy Sean Preston. *One last note I want to say is that in my last few blogs, I told all of you that some babies were torn from their parents during Katrina. Well, I have very good news, one of the little baby girls named Kalise, had just reunited with her mother after have been torn from her during Katrina. I knew there was still hope for these children to find their families.

A Whole New Kirstie Alley

This edition of people is a little different from the rest. There is still news about Katrina and it still hits the headline of People Magazine, but the main attraction on the cover page is Kirstie Alley. Now i am sure almost everyone knows who Kirstie Alley is. She has been an actress for a long time now. I am also sure that many of you have seen pictures of Kirstie's weight changes. In 1997 she was at 132 pounds and she looked amazing, but she said it was very hard to stay that skinny and eat right all the time. Then as time went on Kirstie Alley gained a lot of weight. She had topped 200 pounds in 2004 and started to realize that it had gone too far. At first she did not care too much about the weight gain and she was very happy, eating whatever she wanted, when she wanted. She even had a semi-reality TV show called Fat Actress. But now she has changed alot and lost 50 pounds with the Jenny Craig program and is still losing more and more. She is starting to look good again and feel good and confident about herself. She hit a wrong turn but she is back on the right track and looks better than ever. I think Kirstie is very pretty and am glad she is getting back to her healthy, normal weight. In addition to Kirstie Alley, Destiny's Child (Beyonce, Michelle, and Kelly) did their last and final concert together. Even though the group is breaking up, they are still very close. Their fans are very upset, and i am upset too, but i also think that Beyonce is better off alone, as well as the rest of them. What do you guys think? The reason i think they are better off is because Beyonce has become so successful by herself, as well as the other girls doing their own songs.

One last thing i want to say is to keep helping Katrina victums. More news has come up that children are missing their families and are being raised by other relatives. This tragedy is still going on and we need to continue to help. Anything you think of to send to the victums, please do because something, anything is better than nothing.

More News on Katrina, and the latest gossip and fashion of the Celebrities

This edition of People, dated September 19th, 2005, happens to be a special double issue. I was very excited to find this out because there is double the amount of gossip, as well as celebrity pictures, and much more. In addition to the gossip, the stories of Hurricane Katrina live on. This tragedy has touched so many lives, and People showed this throughout their magazine. The pictures of Katrina shown in the magazine are so touching and the stories told have such an impact on me, as I am sure most of you.

Let me begin, once again, by talking about Katrina. This story seems to be the topic of the world today. It is all over the news, all over sports channels, in magazines, and even the headline of most websites. Every where you go there are charities being held to raise money, Universities and Colleges paying for victims tuition, celebrities and sports players, and so many others all donating and raising money for the victims. The stories told in People really reach out to you. The stories show peoples homes destroyed, families torn apart, the loss of everything meaningful and valuable to the victims, and so much more. Imagine all your memories, pictures, and so many other irreplaceable items being lost. I know I would be lost without my pictures from my past and all the memories they bring to me. These victims lost everything you can think of. Everyone is doing the best they can to help and that is all we anyone can do now. There memories will never be replaced but at least we can start by raising money and doing something about this sudden tragedy. Now let me begin to fill you in on all the gossip you want to hear. Now you all know that this is a special double issue, which means that there is double the gossip, pictures, hairstyles, some tips and the new trends. So where do I begin? I will start by talking about the new fashion that Celebes seem to be following these days. The trend of the week looks to be the cowgirl style. Ever since Jessica Simpson came starred in the movie Dukes of Hazzard, we have been seeing the cowboy boots on so many celebrities. I think it is so funny how so many of the celebrities follow one another's style.

Not only do they follow the clothing style, but also hairstyles. One celebrity will get hair extensions, then 10 more will follow. Or one will dye their hair another color and then everyone will be dying there hair their opposite color. But I guess if you are a celebrity then you can do whatever you want. I mean I am sure most of you, including myself, get people magazine, or style magazine, and many other just to see what the new trends of celebrities are. However, I know the whole cow boots style is out but I am not too sure if I can see myself in them. Also, celebrities always seem to have a different brand name bag in every single picture they take. I do not think that I have seen a celebrity have the same bag/purse in any picture, well maybe some, and I have seen so many celebrity pictures.
Now I know I said that celebrities always have the hottest styles out, well I did not mean all the time. There are some outfits that I have seen on celebrities that I think to myself, "What were they thinking," and People magazine definitely points them out. They have a section labeled "Best and Worst Dressed", which can be very embarrassing for celebrities, but I do not think they care too much. Hurricane Katrina, the VMA's, and much more...

*People Magazine, dated September 12th, 2005, talked mostly about hurricane Katrina in this weekly edition with a touch on the VMA's (the Video Music Awards), hosted by P-Diddy, and also a touch on Celebrity pictures and updates on new gossip. However, I want to begin by talking about hurricane Katrina, aside from the Celebrity gossip, because it is one of the major issues going on in the world today and People Magazine focused much of their time talking of this horrible attack. The graphic pictures are shown of families torn apart, homes destroyed and deaths of many individuals, as well as leaving more than one million people homeless, with over $25 billion in damage. The pictures and stories are so touching to everyone and I do not think anyone could have ever imagined the damage that this hurricane has done. After Florida was hit, everything turned into a disaster. When the Hurricane hit the Gulf Coast, it was said to have been a Category Four Hurricane, which is the second most severe hurricane possible. Many had evacuated New Orleans but there were also many that did not. This horrible incident has affected many and all we can do now is try to help and send money, food, clothing, etc. to those in need and those who are left with nothing.

*Aside from Hurricane Katrina, People Magazine seems to get into the VMA's, along with more gossip on the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt relationship. I want to first talk about the VMA's, I did not get the chance to watch the VMA's but I know they had to have been good if the show was hosted by P-Diddy...he always seems to be a good host and attract attention. The VMA pictures showed many different types of fashion styles, some of which were a little over the edge, like Jessica Simpsons outfit, but many of you may like that dress style. As for performances, Jamie Foxx and Kanye West's performance "Gold Digger" seemed to be a big hit at the VMA's and I am sure it was because that is a top song as of right now.

*Now aside of the VMA's, I just want to say a few things about the story that many people love to follow up on, and that is the Angelina and Brad relationship. The couple may say that they are not together, but come on, we all know that there is something there. Brad has been seen on vacations with Angelina and even around taking care of her two children. I don't exactly know how I feel about Brad's new romance with Angelina because I feel bad for Jennifer Aniston. The media makes Jennifer out to be the innocent one and Brad to be the one without any upset emotions on their breakup. However, you can not always believe what the media has to say about Celebrities, but People Magazine is a well-known and well believed magazine, so I tend to follow up and believe their stories that are published around the world.
