Body After Baby!

What is with all these celebrities having babies and losing the weight right away? This is the cover story of People Magazine this week. Beginning with Denise Richards, who, in my opinion, is absolutely beautiful, lost all of her baby weight and looks better than ever. When she was pregnant with her daughter, Lola, she gained 30 pounds. That is a lot of weight, but normal for a pregnant mom to be. She recently told People that she had a secret weapon to losing weight: “It’s called the Stress Diet,” but she was only semi serious. In addition, she really explained that the reason she was able to get back down to her weight and look phenomenal again was because of her trainer, Garrett Warren, who had her doing kickboxing and abdominal exercises that she did 4-6 times per week. She also controlled her diet by eating healthy. I think Denise looks great, and has worked very hard to get back in shape. It is not easy to do after having been pregnant but if you want to lose baby weight, you need to make a few sacrifices.

Another celebrity mom who is dealing with the same issue of baby fat is Britney Spears. In June, Spears told People, “Having a child inspired her." Spears is also getting back into shape and is looking awesome already, after having Sean Preston on September 14. Another celebrity I want to point out that also looks amazing is Christine Taylor. She said she spent a lot of time running after she had her baby, Ella, who is now three years old, and she also looks wonderful.

I have seen so many celebrities, in pictures, after having children, and I feel that most of them got back into shape right away. I think it is something within the celebrity world, where everyone wants to be thin and healthy. After having a baby, no one wants to keep the weight on and if you have the money, it is a lot easier. You can pay to get the best trainer and even have meals made for you and delivered to your home, as many celebrities do.

Yeah, Denise and Britney both look great. I know they have trainers and nutritionists that help them along the way, but I STILL don't know how they do it! To lose 35 to 50 pounds in just a month or so is unbelievable. I don't actually know how long it took them to lose weight, but they obviously worked really hard at it. I don't even know many 20-year-olds that look this good. If I were a celebrity I would definitely be doing the same thing as them. I'd give it one week and I would be in the gym. But then again, Im 21 and have energy and I still don't go to the gym lol. I read once that it makes it easier to lose weight after having a baby if you excersise BEFORE having the baby. If you do yoga during your whole pregnancy, the weight will just drip off after the baby is born. These are good things to know for us ladies, but hopefully not for a good few years!

I think Britney Spears still has a ways to go before she gets back to how she looked before her baby- but that was because she was in ridiculous shape. Denise looks absolutely amazing after having 2 children and probably the best she has looked in a long time. Many celebrity Moms bounce right back after having a baby because they have the money to afford these expensive trainers and they probably do not even have to leave their own home to get back in shape. Which is good because then this way they can keep an eye on the baby as well. I think the reason so many people lose the weight so fast is because it is necessary to be thin in Hollywood, and no one wants to turn into Kirstie Allie after having a baby.

I am actually not surprised that all these stars get back into shape right away after having children. Like you said, they can hire the best trainers in the world and have their personal chefs cook them healthy meals every time they eat. They typically don't go right back to work after having a babies because they really don't have to; so they have all this time on their hands to concentrate on their baby and losing the weight they gained to have him/her. For the average new mother, she does go back to work relatively soon, which often means she does not have time on her hands to work out all the time and cook healthy meals. I know when my sister in law had her baby, she ate fast food and delivery food all the time because she had absolutely NO time to cook herself food between working all day and taking care of my nephew all night. All in all though, it is good when stars can lose thier body weight, but I don't think moms-to-be out there should be discouraged if they are not able to lose thier baby weight right after giving birth.

I think Denise Richards is an inspiration to all. After all she has been through I believe her “stress diet” comment as her key to losing all her weight! I wish I had a trainer like hers that would get me into a routine and to the gym four to six times a week. Kickboxing seems to be a new trend that many have picked up on for losing weight and it looks like it works in a lot of cases. I also agree with you that Britney looks great and is most definitely on her way back to her pre-baby body. Christine Taylor, who isn’t nearly in the public eye as many celebrities, definitely puts many to shame. It is hard to believe she has had two children and is still as tiny as ever. I think the pressure in Hollywood to be thin makes many of these celebrity mom’s get rid of the baby weight ASAP!

It's basically all about money. If I had as much money as they do I would have a personal trainer and nutritionist too. Plus they know that being overweight in Hollywood won’t get them any jobs. (Unless you're Kristi Alley) But seriously, I would do and plan on doing the same thing after I am pregnant and have a baby, you have to work out before, during, and especially afterwards. It is so important to get right back to the gym or else you will never do it and then 20 years down the road you are still carrying around the same baby fat. I give props to Denise and Britney for getting right back in the gym, they look amazing and no matter how many personal trainers they have it's still them who have to do all the work. Though I must say both women lost the weight at an extremely rapid pace which make we wonder….Did they even eat at all????

Denise and Britney look great, but how on Earth do you lose that much baby weight that quickly. I guess it's about the trainer and the money to have specially prepared meals prepared all day long for you. The magazine had all these people- Rachel Griffith 13 days after giving birth looks amazing. Christine Taylor is another women who after 2 babies was able to quickly get into her little dresses agian. I think its the pressure to be the size they were that makes them lose the weight so quickly, hopefully they're being healthy about it all.

Another thing that we have to remember about these celebrity moms is that fact that they were a size 0-2 when they got pregnant. They didn't have a lot of weight to loose in the first place. Once you deliver, you loose most of the weight. Most of it is water.

When I had my first child I lost the weight really fast, my second child, I'm still trying to loose it and she's 6...lol.

These celeb mom's are NOT normal! Like the other gals have said, they have personal chefs and personal trainers and nannies while they get back into shape. The sooner they get back into shape, the sooner they can make more money to support the trainer and the chef and the nanny.

After giving birth to a baby there is so much to worry about and so much to do and finding the time to exercise is really really low on the list. I am truly impressed with how these celebrities do it. It is ironic that as they are gaining the weight during their pregnancy, magazines talk about how fat and awful they look, but once they lose it, the same magazine does nothing but praise the individual. You just can't win in Hollywood. It seems you are either too thin or too fat or too something. If I had as much money as these women do, I am sure I could bounce right back into shape as well, with a personal trainer, personal chef, nanny for my baby and all the works. I feel like there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for them not getting back into shape and losing the weight. Also, I have read that a lot of the women really have to lose the weight fast because of an upcoming film they have signed to do or something of that sort. It crazy what you can do when you have a lot of money!!!

One of my biggest fears is gaining weight during my pregnancies, and not being able to take the weight off again. You hear so many stories of women who were once thin and then put on weight after having kids. Some of them never get rid of this weight! The way I get cravings now, there may be no hope for me! Denise does look amazing. Then again if I had the help of personal trainers and chefs I would look pretty good also. All you need is a little motivation. I thought Britney got so big during her pregnancy. I would love to see her get back in shape again because her body used to make me go the gym. I used to tell myself that if I went I would one day look like her! Christine Taylor on the other hand, is way too thin. I think she is one celebrity who could use a few more pounds on her! It really is amazing how these women can shed the pounds in just weeks. If I was in the spotlight all the time I would want to look flawless as well.

I don't think girls should feel bad if they can't lose weight right away after their pregnancy like these celebrities do. I mean, they are celebrities, of course they can lose this weight quickly. I bet they have a nanny who will be looking after the baby while they work out with one of the best-paid trainers in the country for as long as they like and then eat a healthy meal that they didn't have to cook for themselves. Real people can't afford those types of luxuries.
I also want to add that I feel bad for Britney and Kevin's baby. That guy has children whose mom he left to date Britney Spears. Great role model there.

I think its amazing that women in Hollywood lose weight so fast. Call me a cynic, but I can't help but think of they are indeed really doing to in a healthy manner. Most "average" women battle baby weight for months, sometimes years after a birth. Maybe its because they have the money for a personal trainer and fancy weight loss products that the rest of the world can't afford, but it still seems a bit unrealistic. The pictures in the article are insane. it can't be heathly for a person to lose as much weight as they have in such a short time. But, being devils advocate, with the pressure of hollywood, can we blame them? We expect nothing less of women on TV nowadays.
